David is spearheading the Men's Health Week themes and events in 2012 as part of his broader work to raise the profile of men's health in Australia.
"We went looking for an idea that would help us shape the way that Men's Health Week is rolled out across the country", he says.
"When you think about it, our connection to our environments is a huge determinant in our health status. What we mean by environments includes things like the status of our relationships, housing, food choices, income, employment and political environments, plus our own natural environments. What we can control as individuals is our interactions with the natural world, which makes this idea central to men's health."
